Early days: the Marmonier era

Félix Marmonier, visionary and brilliant inventor

It was in 1835, in Bourgoin near Lyon, that Félix Marmonier set up his construction workshop and began to design the future of wine-making equipment. His pioneering spirit resulted in Établissements Marmonier, which shaped the foundations of modern winegrowing thanks to inventions at the cutting edge of innovation such as the ball press, American taps, the automatic-release press, and energy-storing spiral springs.

1874

The "American" press propels Marmonier to the forefront of the international stage

Félix Marmonier filed more than 200 patents during his lifetime, but it was in 1874 that his vision achieved worldwide recognition with the invention of the so-called “American” wine press, cementing the technological reputation of Établissements Marmonier on a global scale.

Transition and rebirth: the PMH era

The PMH-Marmonier merger

When two great names merge, magic happens. PMH – Pompes et Machines Hydrauliques (Hyrdraulic Machines and Pumps) incorporated Établissements Marmonier.
